I am from the province of Fujian (population 45 million, 2009) in southeastern China. I was born in the province’s capital city, Fuzhou(population 6.8 million, 2008) raised in a family whose businesspractice was in traditional Chinese medicine for four generations. Since the early 1900’s, my great-grandfather, an imperial palace physician of the end of the Qing Dynasty, provided traditional Chinese medicine treatments – acupuncture, qigong therapy, massage and herbal medicine - for chronic illnesses from a clinic, Ancestral Chinese Medical Therapy, in China which was later operated by my grandfather and uncle. From this upbringing, I was immersed in the numerous ways of Chinese medicine and learned exclusive techniques in qigong therapy, massage, acupuncture and herbal medicine passed on from generations. To continue the family tradition and practice, I studied traditional Chinese medicine at the local university, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Fuzhou. FujianUniversity is one of only 33 universities specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine inChina. For a period of 8 years, from 1979 – 1987, I studied at the University graduating with a Masters Degree specializing in massage therapy. Upon graduation in 1987 until 1990, I interned at one of the University’s affiliated hospitals. There I provided different types of massage therapy to approximately 50 patients per week. After my internship at the hospital, I practiced at my family’s clinic providing acupuncture, massage, qigong and herbal medicine until 1993. The Ancestral Chinese Medical Therapy clinic was very busy with approximately 100 patients treated each day. In 1993, I decided to move to Seattle, Washington USA and established a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice, Chinese Medical Therapy. For 14 years (1993 – 2007), I continued to practice and offer traditional and unique Chinese medicine treatments – massage, herbal medicine and qigong therapy - continuing the family tradition. I provided general and specific treatments for a variety of ailments such as muscular and skeletal pain and more. I established my practice in Ottawa in 2008. I named my business Unique Therapy because of my extensive family’s experience and exclusive treatments in traditional Chinese medicine. I continue to provide standard and exclusive techniques in unique qigong therapy, massage, customized herbal medicine formulas using raw herbs and teach qigong. June 2011 From Adrienne Before I met Tim Wu, I was a mess. I could not sleep properly, my heartbeat was irregular, my eating schedule was erratic but worst of all, my back and hip were in constant pain. Beside the sharp pain, my lower back was always burning, I had shooting pains down my right leg, my right leg frequently went numb and it often buckled. I had to stop training for my sport as well as take the year off university. After my MRI, I went to 4 doctors and 10 various therapists. Even though there was a diagnosis, nobody seemed to know what to do about it. There was total disagreement in treatment. Finally, I was told that surgery was my only option. Out of desperation, I went to see Tim Wu. He told me he was confident he could help solve all my problems. “No big deal,” as he said. At first, his treatments frightened me! His tapping method was unlike anything I had known. I was reluctant to continue treatment. However, one day, I was walking and all of a sudden I realized that I could not feel the pain in my back. It was the most unbelievable feeling. Tim says that he has realigned my spine and removed the inflammation. The medicinal herbs have helped me sleep ten hour nights. The herbs have also helped my heart and my digestion. I think that many people could benefit from traditional Chinese medicine. I cannot explain what Tim did, nor can I fully understand it. I can say, though, that Tim Wu changed my life. No words can ever describe my gratitude. Andrew Baker qigong, qigong, qigong, qigong, qigong, qigong Dude, I admit to being a bit unsure at first... but with just a one hour session, it feels like he fixed my bulging disc...thereby alleviating the excruciating pain in my ass known as sciatica! This guy rocks! I really look forward to the remaining 3 visits...arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, Fibromyalgia, Cellulite, Cancer, Sciatica Pain, Slipped Disc, arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, Fibromyalgia, Cellulite, Cancer, Sciatica Pain, Slipped Disc, arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, Fibromyalgia |
